Steel window refurbishment in Surrey
Homeowners and builders in Surrey use us for steel window refurbishment that are drawn to their exact opening, from compact screens in Guildford to full-width runs in Woking.
Fitting steel window refurbishment in Surrey
Surrey's 1930s detached houses and Arts and Crafts homes often have generous hallways and rear extensions that suit a glazed steel screen between kitchen and living space.
Safety glass is standard in every internal pane, and we check whether fire-rated glazing is needed before anything is ordered. You get one fixed written price after survey, with the material, glass and finish named on the quote.
We cover Guildford, Woking, Epsom and Reigate, plus the villages and towns between them. Lead time is 2–4 weeks to start after inspection, and we confirm dates in writing when you sign off the drawings.
What we can include
- Seized opening lights freed and rehung
- Inspection and condition report for each window
- Secondary glazing option for listed buildings
- Primer and topcoat in the original or new colour
Steel window refurbishment is the repair of existing metal windows rather than replacing them: treating rust, repairing damaged sections, freeing seized opening lights, renewing hinges, handles and seals, reglazing and recoating. Read the full guide to steel window refurbishment.
Call, chat or send the form and we will arrange a convenient survey date.
Steel window refurbishment in Surrey: questions
Is refurbishment suitable for listed buildings?
Often it is the preferred approach, because it keeps original fabric. We can provide a condition report to support your discussions with the conservation officer.
Do you refurbish windows in occupied homes?
Yes. We work room by room and make each opening weathertight at the end of each day.
Are prices higher in Surrey?
Our guide prices are the same nationally. The fixed price for your job depends on its size and specification, plus any site factors such as access or parking, which we note at survey.
