Why steel?
Steel is the material behind the slim, gridded glass screens you see in period renovations and warehouse conversions. It is strong, it lasts, and it keeps the bars fine.
Slimmer than other frames
Steel holds large panes in very narrow sections, so the bars stay fine even on tall screens. That is the look timber and most aluminium cannot match.
Drawn to your opening
Every frame is drawn from survey measurements and made to fit the finished opening, including out-of-square walls and sloping ceilings.
One team, survey to fitting
The same team surveys, draws, orders and fits, so you have one contact and one fixed price from start to finish.
Straight answers
We tell you whether a screen needs fire-rated glass, whether steel or steel-look aluminium suits you, and exactly what the quote includes.
Choose by product
Every product is made to measure. Pick one to see how it works, what it costs and what we need from your opening.
Internal steel screens and doors
Glazed steel partitions that split a room without losing the light: screens, room dividers and every kind of internal door.

External steel windows and doors
Thermally improved, double-glazed steel for extensions, period homes and like-for-like heritage replacements.

Commercial and specialist
Office partitions, fire-rated glazed screens and a steel-look aluminium option when budget leads.

Reviews
We publish reviews from completed projects as they come in, collected through an independent review platform rather than written by us. You will not find invented testimonials on this site.
Want to speak to a past customer? Ask when you book your survey and we will put you in touch with a client from a recent project, where they have agreed to it.

Common questions
Do you cover the whole of the UK?
We survey and fit across England, Wales and Scotland. For more remote areas we confirm coverage and survey dates when you enquire.
Is the survey free?
Yes. The survey and written quote are free and carry no obligation.
How long do steel screens take to make?
Most steel screens and doors are made in four to six weeks from signed-off drawings. Steel-look aluminium is often quicker, and fire-rated systems can take longer.
Are your screens real steel?
Yes, unless you choose our steel-look aluminium range. Every quote names the material, the system and the glass so there is no doubt about what you are buying.
Who carries out the work?
Projects are contracted with S&K Glazing Limited and carried out by its own team or vetted installation subcontractors working under its supervision.
What glass do you use?
Toughened or laminated safety glass as standard for internal screens, and double-glazed units for external windows and doors. Reeded, frosted and acoustic options are available.
Do I pay a deposit?
Made-to-measure work is normally ordered with a deposit once drawings are signed off, with the balance due on completion. The exact terms are set out in your written quote.
Can you match a RAL colour?
Yes. Textured jet black is the most popular, but frames can be powder coated in almost any RAL colour.
