Steel room dividers in Surrey
Every steel room divider we fit in Surrey starts with a free survey at the property, whether that is in Epsom, Guildford or a village nearby.
Fitting steel room dividers in Surrey
Surrey's 1930s detached houses and Arts and Crafts homes often have generous hallways and rear extensions that suit a glazed steel screen between kitchen and living space.
You get one fixed written price after survey, with the material, glass and finish named on the quote. Safety glass is standard in every internal pane, and we check whether fire-rated glazing is needed before anything is ordered.
We cover Guildford, Woking, Epsom and Reigate, plus the villages and towns between them. Lead time is 4–6 weeks from signed-off drawings, and we confirm dates in writing when you sign off the drawings.
What we can include
- Transoms and posts set out to suit the room rather than a stock grid
- Scribed to sloping ceilings, beams and out-of-level floors
- Full-height glazed steel partitions up to around 3m in a single tier
- Fixings into floor and ceiling structure where there is no wall
A steel room divider is a floor-to-ceiling glazed steel partition used to zone an open-plan space, such as separating a sleeping area in a loft or a study corner in a living room. Read the full guide to steel room dividers.
Send us a few details and photos of the opening, and we will arrange a free survey.
Steel room dividers in Surrey: questions
Can a room divider go under a sloping ceiling?
Yes. We measure the pitch on survey and draw the top of the frame to follow it, so the divider fits a loft or attic room without gaps.
Can the divider be moved later?
Dividers are fixed to the floor and ceiling, so they are permanent fixtures. They can be taken down by a fitter, but they are not designed as movable partitions.
Are prices higher in Surrey?
Our guide prices are the same nationally. The fixed price for your job depends on its size and specification, plus any site factors such as access or parking, which we note at survey.
