Steel shower screens
A steel shower screen is a toughened glass panel set in a slim steel frame with glazing bars, used to enclose a walk-in shower or wet room. It gives a bathroom the same grid-pane look as a steel internal screen.

How steel shower screens work
We make shower screens to the tiled opening, so they fit tight to walls and trays that are rarely perfectly square. Fixed walk-in panels are the most popular, with return panels or hinged doors where the layout needs them.
Frames are finished with a coating suited to wet areas and glazed with toughened safety glass. We seal the frame to the tiles and can add an easy-clean glass coating to cut down on limescale.

Questions about steel shower screens
How much does a steel shower screen cost?
A single steel-framed walk-in panel usually costs £1,400 to £3,200 fitted, including VAT. Hinged doors, return panels and very tall screens add to the price.
Will a steel frame rust in a shower?
The frames are coated for wet areas and sealed, and with normal cleaning they stay sound. We avoid abrasive cleaners and explain the care routine at handover.
When do you measure for a shower screen?
After tiling is finished, so the screen is made to the final opening.
Is it real steel?
Yes, unless you choose a steel-look aluminium frame, which some clients prefer for wet rooms. We state which material is quoted.
Can you fit a shower door as well as a panel?
Yes. Hinged doors with a seal, or return panels, can be added where the layout needs an enclosure.
Does the glass come with a coating?
An easy-clean coating is available and helps water run off, which reduces limescale build-up.
