Steel bifold doors in Hertfordshire
Every steel bifold door we fit in Hertfordshire starts with a free survey at the property, whether that is in Harpenden, St Albans or a village nearby.
Fitting steel bifold doors in Hertfordshire
Hertfordshire's Edwardian and interwar houses commonly have a knocked-through living and dining room, which is ideal for internal steel French doors.
Lead times are confirmed in writing when you sign off the drawings, so you can plan the rest of your project around them. Because each frame is drawn from your measurements, the steel bifold door fits the opening you have, not a stock size.
We cover St Albans, Watford, Harpenden and Hitchin, plus the villages and towns between them. Lead time is 6–8 weeks from signed-off drawings, and we confirm dates in writing when you sign off the drawings.
What we can include
- Glazing bars to match steel windows and screens
- Galvanised and polyester powder coated
- Three to six panel runs, folding left, right or split
- Level or low threshold with drainage
Steel bifold doors are a run of glazed steel door panels that fold and stack to one or both sides, opening most of a wall to the garden. Read the full guide to steel bifold doors.
Call, chat or send the form and we will arrange a convenient survey date.
Steel bifold doors in Hertfordshire: questions
Are steel bifolds heavier than aluminium?
Yes, so the opening needs a suitable beam and the threshold must be level and solid. We check this with your builder or engineer before manufacture.
How much do steel bifold doors cost?
A three to five panel set of steel bifold doors usually costs £9,000 to £20,000 fitted, including VAT, depending on width, height and glazing.
Are prices higher in Hertfordshire?
Our guide prices are the same nationally. The fixed price for your job depends on its size and specification, plus any site factors such as access or parking, which we note at survey.
