Fitting staircase steel screens in Herefordshire
Herefordshire's farmhouse and barn conversions often have large openings that suit full-height steel screens and external steel doors.
We coordinate with your builder, kitchen fitter or decorator so the opening is ready and nothing is measured twice. Lead times are confirmed in writing when you sign off the drawings, so you can plan the rest of your project around them.
We cover Hereford, Leominster, Ledbury and Ross-on-Wye, plus the villages and towns between them. Lead time is 5–7 weeks from signed-off drawings, and we confirm dates in writing when you sign off the drawings.
What we can include
- Fire-rated glass and frames where the stair is an escape route
- Black or any RAL powder coat
- Full-height or half-height screens with handrail details
- Safety glass sized for guarding where the screen protects a drop
A staircase steel screen is a glazed steel partition that replaces a solid wall or balustrade beside a staircase. Read the full guide to staircase steel screens.

Staircase steel screens in Herefordshire: questions
Will a stair screen make my hallway lighter?
If there is a window or rooflight at the top of the stairs, yes. The screen lets that light travel down instead of stopping at the stair wall.
Can the screen follow the angle of the stairs?
Yes. We measure the pitch and draw raked frames so the glazing bars line up with the stair rather than stepping awkwardly.
Do you cover Hereford and Leominster?
Yes. We survey and fit staircase steel screens in Hereford, Leominster, Ledbury and across Herefordshire. Book a free survey and we will confirm a date.
