Internal steel screens in Berkshire
Every internal steel screen we fit in Berkshire starts with a free survey at the property, whether that is in Newbury, Reading or a village nearby.
Fitting internal steel screens in Berkshire
Berkshire's Victorian terraces around Reading and larger detached homes along the Thames often combine a rear extension with a steel screen or French doors.
Lead times are confirmed in writing when you sign off the drawings, so you can plan the rest of your project around them. We coordinate with your builder, kitchen fitter or decorator so the opening is ready and nothing is measured twice.
We cover Reading, Windsor, Newbury and Maidenhead, plus the villages and towns between them. Lead time is 4–6 weeks from signed-off drawings, and we confirm dates in writing when you sign off the drawings.
What we can include
- Lever handles, pull handles and locks in black, brass or stainless
- Toughened or laminated safety glass to BS EN 12150 / BS EN 14449
- Pane layouts drawn to suit ceiling height and room proportions
- Fixed panes, single door, double doors, sliding or pivot leaf
An internal steel screen is a glazed partition made from slim steel sections, usually with a grid of glass panes and an optional door. Read the full guide to internal steel screens.
Call, chat or send the form and we will arrange a convenient survey date.
Internal steel screens in Berkshire: questions
What glass do you use?
Toughened safety glass is standard. Laminated glass is available for extra acoustic performance or where a pane must hold together if broken, and reeded or frosted panes add privacy.
Can you fit a screen into an existing doorway?
Yes. A screen can fill an existing opening, widen a doorway or replace a whole stud wall. If the wall is load-bearing, a structural engineer specifies a beam first and the screen is measured once the opening is plastered.
Do you cover Reading and Windsor?
Yes. We survey and fit internal steel screens in Reading, Windsor, Newbury and across Berkshire. Book a free survey and we will confirm a date.
