Steel room dividers in Berkshire
Homeowners and builders in Berkshire use us for steel room dividers that are drawn to their exact opening, from compact screens in Reading to full-width runs in Windsor.
Fitting steel room dividers in Berkshire
Berkshire's Victorian terraces around Reading and larger detached homes along the Thames often combine a rear extension with a steel screen or French doors.
Because each frame is drawn from your measurements, the steel room divider fits the opening you have, not a stock size. Safety glass is standard in every internal pane, and we check whether fire-rated glazing is needed before anything is ordered.
We cover Reading, Windsor, Newbury and Maidenhead, plus the villages and towns between them. Lead time is 4–6 weeks from signed-off drawings, and we confirm dates in writing when you sign off the drawings.
What we can include
- Scribed to sloping ceilings, beams and out-of-level floors
- Optional hinged, sliding or pivot door within the divider
- Any RAL powder-coat colour, textured black as standard
- Full-height glazed steel partitions up to around 3m in a single tier
A steel room divider is a floor-to-ceiling glazed steel partition used to zone an open-plan space, such as separating a sleeping area in a loft or a study corner in a living room. Read the full guide to steel room dividers.

Steel room dividers in Berkshire: questions
Does a glass divider help with noise?
It reduces noise compared with an open room, and laminated acoustic glass with sealed joints improves it further. It will not match a solid insulated wall, and we explain the difference before you choose.
Can the divider be moved later?
Dividers are fixed to the floor and ceiling, so they are permanent fixtures. They can be taken down by a fitter, but they are not designed as movable partitions.
Do you cover Reading and Windsor?
Yes. We survey and fit steel room dividers in Reading, Windsor, Newbury and across Berkshire. Book a free survey and we will confirm a date.
