Fire-rated steel screens in Essex are made to measure from a free survey and fitted by our installation team, with surveys across Chelmsford, Colchester, Brentwood and the surrounding area.
Fitting fire-rated steel screens in Essex
Essex homes range from Victorian terraces to large modern detached houses, and kitchen screens and external steel doors are frequent combinations.
Safety glass is standard in every internal pane, and we check whether fire-rated glazing is needed before anything is ordered. Lead times are confirmed in writing when you sign off the drawings, so you can plan the rest of your project around them.
We cover Chelmsford, Colchester, Brentwood and Southend-on-Sea, plus the villages and towns between them. Lead time is 6–10 weeks depending on system, and we confirm dates in writing when you sign off the drawings.

A fire-rated steel screen is a glazed steel partition designed to resist the spread of fire and, depending on its rating, heat for a set period such as 30 or 60 minutes. Read the full guide to fire-rated steel screens.

Fire-rated steel screens in Essex: questions
Are fire-rated screens much thicker?
Frames and glass are a little deeper than non-rated screens, but steel systems keep the bars slim compared with most alternatives.
What do E30 and EI30 mean?
E is integrity, meaning the screen stops flames and hot gases passing through. EI adds insulation, meaning the unexposed side stays below a temperature limit. The number is the period in minutes.
Are prices higher in Essex?
Our guide prices are the same nationally. The fixed price for your job depends on its size and specification, plus any site factors such as access or parking, which we note at survey.
