External steel doors in London
Homeowners and builders in London use us for external steel doors that are drawn to their exact opening, from compact screens in Islington to full-width runs in Hackney.
Fitting external steel doors in London
London's Victorian and Edwardian terraces, mansion flats and warehouse conversions are where internal steel screens first became a fixture, usually to pull light from a rear extension into a dark middle room.
We coordinate with your builder, kitchen fitter or decorator so the opening is ready and nothing is measured twice. Our team handles survey, drawings, fabrication and fitting, so you deal with one contact from start to finish.
We cover Islington, Hackney, Clapham and Richmond, plus the villages and towns between them. Lead time is 5–7 weeks from signed-off drawings, and we confirm dates in writing when you sign off the drawings.
What we can include
- French doors, single doors, side lights and top lights
- Thermally improved steel with double-glazed units
- Multipoint locking and secure hinges
- Galvanised then polyester powder coated
External steel doors are glazed steel doors built for outside walls, with thermally improved frames, double glazing, weather seals and secure locking. Read the full guide to external steel doors.

External steel doors in London: questions
Can external doors match my steel windows?
Yes. We design doors, side lights and windows together so the bar lines and colour match across the elevation.
Are external steel doors secure?
Yes. We fit multipoint locking and secure hinges, and steel frames are inherently strong. Ask us about doors tested to recognised security standards if that matters for your insurance.
Do you cover Islington and Hackney?
Yes. We survey and fit external steel doors in Islington, Hackney, Clapham and across London. Book a free survey and we will confirm a date.
