Heritage steel window replacement in London

Fitting heritage steel window replacement in London

London's Victorian and Edwardian terraces, mansion flats and warehouse conversions are where internal steel screens first became a fixture, usually to pull light from a rear extension into a dark middle room.

Lead times are confirmed in writing when you sign off the drawings, so you can plan the rest of your project around them. Because each frame is drawn from your measurements, the heritage steel window replacement fits the opening you have, not a stock size.

We cover Islington, Hackney, Clapham and Richmond, plus the villages and towns between them. Lead time is 5–7 weeks from signed-off drawings, and we confirm dates in writing when you sign off the drawings.

What we can include

• Horizontal and Georgian glazing-bar patterns reproduced
• Heritage-profile steel sections matched to the original
• Curved and corner bay windows
• Original-style ironmongery including monkey-tail handles

Heritage steel window replacement means removing failing original metal windows, typically from the 1920s to 1950s, and fitting new steel windows that copy their slim sections, glazing-bar patterns and opening lights. Read the full guide to heritage steel window replacement.
