Fitting steel pivot doors in Edinburgh and the Lothians
Edinburgh's Georgian New Town and Victorian tenements have tall ceilings and deep plans that suit full-height internal steel screens; listed status is common.
Safety glass is standard in every internal pane, and we check whether fire-rated glazing is needed before anything is ordered. You get one fixed written price after survey, with the material, glass and finish named on the quote.
We cover Edinburgh, Leith, Musselburgh and Linlithgow, plus the villages and towns between them. Lead time is 5–6 weeks from signed-off drawings, and we confirm dates in writing when you sign off the drawings.
What we can include
- Planned with your floor finish and screed depth
- Tall and wide single leaves beyond standard hinged sizes
- Pull handles or levers in black, brass or stainless
- Fixed side panels to complete a full screen
A steel pivot door is a glazed steel door that rotates on a pivot set into the floor and head of the frame, rather than on side hinges. Read the full guide to steel pivot doors.
