Steel pivot doors in Cumbria
From Kendal to Penrith, we supply and fit steel pivot doors across Cumbria, each one fabricated to the measurements taken at your survey.
Fitting steel pivot doors in Cumbria
Cumbria's Lakeland stone houses face hard weather, so external steel is specified with galvanised frames and durable coatings.
Our team handles survey, drawings, fabrication and fitting, so you deal with one contact from start to finish. You get one fixed written price after survey, with the material, glass and finish named on the quote.
We cover Carlisle, Kendal, Keswick and Penrith, plus the villages and towns between them. Lead time is 5–6 weeks from signed-off drawings, and we confirm dates in writing when you sign off the drawings.
What we can include
- Toughened or laminated safety glass
- Planned with your floor finish and screed depth
- Optional soft-close and hold-open pivot mechanisms
- Offset floor and head pivot with smooth, controlled swing
A steel pivot door is a glazed steel door that rotates on a pivot set into the floor and head of the frame, rather than on side hinges. Read the full guide to steel pivot doors.
Call, chat or send the form and we will arrange a convenient survey date.
Steel pivot doors in Cumbria: questions
Are pivot doors suitable for bathrooms?
They can be, with obscure or reeded glass and a privacy lock, though a hinged or sliding door is often more practical in a small room.
Do pivot doors close on their own?
Some pivots include a self-closing function and others hold open at set angles. We specify the mechanism you prefer.
