Steel-look aluminium screens in Cumbria
From Kendal to Penrith, we supply and fit steel-look aluminium screens across Cumbria, each one fabricated to the measurements taken at your survey.
Fitting steel-look aluminium screens in Cumbria
Cumbria's Lakeland stone houses face hard weather, so external steel is specified with galvanised frames and durable coatings.
Because each frame is drawn from your measurements, the steel-look aluminium screen fits the opening you have, not a stock size. Lead times are confirmed in writing when you sign off the drawings, so you can plan the rest of your project around them.
We cover Carlisle, Kendal, Keswick and Penrith, plus the villages and towns between them. Lead time is 3–4 weeks from signed-off drawings, and we confirm dates in writing when you sign off the drawings.
What we can include
- Toughened safety glass, clear or reeded
- Fixed panes, hinged and sliding doors
- Lighter weight, simpler fixings
- Powder-coated black or RAL colours
A steel-look aluminium screen is a glazed internal partition made from aluminium profiles designed to imitate the slim black grid of a steel screen. Read the full guide to steel-look aluminium screens.

Steel-look aluminium screens in Cumbria: questions
Is steel-look aluminium as good as real steel?
It gives a similar look for less money. Genuine steel has slimmer bars, a more solid feel and a longer-lasting finish, so it depends what matters most to you.
How much cheaper is aluminium than steel?
A steel-look aluminium screen often costs roughly 40 to 50 percent less than the same screen in genuine steel. We can quote both for your opening.
