Steel pivot doors in Berkshire
We design and install steel pivot doors throughout Berkshire, from Reading and Windsor to Newbury and Maidenhead, with fixed written quotes after a free survey.
Fitting steel pivot doors in Berkshire
Berkshire's Victorian terraces around Reading and larger detached homes along the Thames often combine a rear extension with a steel screen or French doors.
Because each frame is drawn from your measurements, the steel pivot door fits the opening you have, not a stock size. Our team handles survey, drawings, fabrication and fitting, so you deal with one contact from start to finish.
We cover Reading, Windsor, Newbury and Maidenhead, plus the villages and towns between them. Lead time is 5–6 weeks from signed-off drawings, and we confirm dates in writing when you sign off the drawings.
What we can include
- Fixed side panels to complete a full screen
- Tall and wide single leaves beyond standard hinged sizes
- Optional soft-close and hold-open pivot mechanisms
- Planned with your floor finish and screed depth
A steel pivot door is a glazed steel door that rotates on a pivot set into the floor and head of the frame, rather than on side hinges. Read the full guide to steel pivot doors.
Send us a few details and photos of the opening, and we will arrange a free survey.
Steel pivot doors in Berkshire: questions
Can a pivot door be locked?
Yes, with a floor lock or a lock in the closing edge, depending on the design.
How big can a pivot door be?
Much larger than a hinged door. The practical limit depends on glass weight and the pivot hardware, and we confirm the maximum size for your opening at design stage.
How soon can you survey in Berkshire?
Survey dates in Berkshire depend on our current schedule and your project stage. Tell us when your opening will be ready and we will book the survey to suit.
