Fitting staircase steel screens in North Wales
North Wales projects include Victorian Llandudno villas and stone farmhouses, where steel adds light without losing character.
We coordinate with your builder, kitchen fitter or decorator so the opening is ready and nothing is measured twice. Lead times are confirmed in writing when you sign off the drawings, so you can plan the rest of your project around them.
We cover Wrexham, Llandudno, Bangor and Mold, plus the villages and towns between them. Lead time is 5–7 weeks from signed-off drawings, and we confirm dates in writing when you sign off the drawings.
What we can include
- Fire-rated glass and frames where the stair is an escape route
- Raked frames that follow the pitch of the stair
- Full-height or half-height screens with handrail details
- Survey of stringers, nosings and landings for fixings
A staircase steel screen is a glazed steel partition that replaces a solid wall or balustrade beside a staircase. Read the full guide to staircase steel screens.

Staircase steel screens in North Wales: questions
How much does a staircase steel screen cost?
Most non-fire-rated stair screens cost £3,500 to £8,500 fitted, including VAT. Raked shapes and full-height glazing add complexity, and fire-rated screens are priced individually.
Does a stair screen need to be fire-rated?
In many houses with three or more storeys the stair is a protected escape route, so glazing beside it must give fire resistance. Two-storey houses often do not need it. We confirm this at survey and with your building control body.
Do you cover Wrexham and Llandudno?
Yes. We survey and fit staircase steel screens in Wrexham, Llandudno, Bangor and across North Wales. Book a free survey and we will confirm a date.
