Fire-rated steel screens in North Wales
Fire-rated steel screens in North Wales are made to measure from a free survey and fitted by our installation team, with surveys across Wrexham, Llandudno, Bangor and the surrounding area.
Fitting fire-rated steel screens in North Wales
North Wales projects include Victorian Llandudno villas and stone farmhouses, where steel adds light without losing character.
Lead times are confirmed in writing when you sign off the drawings, so you can plan the rest of your project around them. Because each frame is drawn from your measurements, the fire-rated steel screen fits the opening you have, not a stock size.
We cover Wrexham, Llandudno, Bangor and Mold, plus the villages and towns between them. Lead time is 6–10 weeks depending on system, and we confirm dates in writing when you sign off the drawings.
What we can include
- Black or RAL powder coat within the tested finish range
- Integrity (E) and insulation (EI) ratings to suit the route
- Residential protected stairs and commercial corridors
- Manufacturer evidence of performance supplied with quote
A fire-rated steel screen is a glazed steel partition designed to resist the spread of fire and, depending on its rating, heat for a set period such as 30 or 60 minutes. Read the full guide to fire-rated steel screens.

Fire-rated steel screens in North Wales: questions
Are fire-rated screens much thicker?
Frames and glass are a little deeper than non-rated screens, but steel systems keep the bars slim compared with most alternatives.
What do E30 and EI30 mean?
E is integrity, meaning the screen stops flames and hot gases passing through. EI adds insulation, meaning the unexposed side stays below a temperature limit. The number is the period in minutes.
