Internal steel screens in Essex
Looking for internal steel screens in Essex? We survey, draw, fabricate and fit them for homes in Chelmsford, Colchester and across the rest of Essex.
Fitting internal steel screens in Essex
Essex homes range from Victorian terraces to large modern detached houses, and kitchen screens and external steel doors are frequent combinations.
Lead times are confirmed in writing when you sign off the drawings, so you can plan the rest of your project around them. Our team handles survey, drawings, fabrication and fitting, so you deal with one contact from start to finish.
We cover Chelmsford, Colchester, Brentwood and Southend-on-Sea, plus the villages and towns between them. Lead time is 4–6 weeks from signed-off drawings, and we confirm dates in writing when you sign off the drawings.
What we can include
- Polyester powder coat in textured jet black (RAL 9005) or any RAL colour
- Fixed panes, single door, double doors, sliding or pivot leaf
- Toughened or laminated safety glass to BS EN 12150 / BS EN 14449
- Pane layouts drawn to suit ceiling height and room proportions
An internal steel screen is a glazed partition made from slim steel sections, usually with a grid of glass panes and an optional door. Read the full guide to internal steel screens.

Internal steel screens in Essex: questions
Can you fit a screen into an existing doorway?
Yes. A screen can fill an existing opening, widen a doorway or replace a whole stud wall. If the wall is load-bearing, a structural engineer specifies a beam first and the screen is measured once the opening is plastered.
How long does fitting take?
Most single screens are fitted and glazed in one to two days once the frame arrives on site. Larger or multi-screen jobs take longer, and we confirm the programme before we start.
How soon can you survey in Essex?
Survey dates in Essex depend on our current schedule and your project stage. Tell us when your opening will be ready and we will book the survey to suit.
