Fire-rated steel screens in Wiltshire
From Swindon to Marlborough, we supply and fit fire-rated steel screens across Wiltshire, each one fabricated to the measurements taken at your survey.
Fitting fire-rated steel screens in Wiltshire
Wiltshire projects range from market-town period houses to barn conversions, where tall steel screens frame big internal spaces.
Because each frame is drawn from your measurements, the fire-rated steel screen fits the opening you have, not a stock size. Safety glass is standard in every internal pane, and we check whether fire-rated glazing is needed before anything is ordered.
We cover Salisbury, Swindon, Chippenham and Marlborough, plus the villages and towns between them. Lead time is 6–10 weeks depending on system, and we confirm dates in writing when you sign off the drawings.
What we can include
- Complete tested systems: frame, glass, seals and fixings
- Manufacturer evidence of performance supplied with quote
- Integrity (E) and insulation (EI) ratings to suit the route
- Black or RAL powder coat within the tested finish range
A fire-rated steel screen is a glazed steel partition designed to resist the spread of fire and, depending on its rating, heat for a set period such as 30 or 60 minutes. Read the full guide to fire-rated steel screens.

Fire-rated steel screens in Wiltshire: questions
What do E30 and EI30 mean?
E is integrity, meaning the screen stops flames and hot gases passing through. EI adds insulation, meaning the unexposed side stays below a temperature limit. The number is the period in minutes.
Are fire-rated screens much thicker?
Frames and glass are a little deeper than non-rated screens, but steel systems keep the bars slim compared with most alternatives.
