Fitting steel window refurbishment in Dundee and Angus
Dundee's tenement flats and Broughty Ferry villas often have long hallways that benefit from glazed internal screens.
Because each frame is drawn from your measurements, the steel window refurbishment fits the opening you have, not a stock size. Lead times are confirmed in writing when you sign off the drawings, so you can plan the rest of your project around them.
We cover Dundee, Broughty Ferry, Arbroath and Forfar, plus the villages and towns between them. Lead time is 2–4 weeks to start after inspection, and we confirm dates in writing when you sign off the drawings.
What we can include
- Inspection and condition report for each window
- Rust removal, treatment and section repairs
- Primer and topcoat in the original or new colour
- Seized opening lights freed and rehung
Steel window refurbishment is the repair of existing metal windows rather than replacing them: treating rust, repairing damaged sections, freeing seized opening lights, renewing hinges, handles and seals, reglazing and recoating. Read the full guide to steel window refurbishment.
Call, chat or send the form and we will arrange a convenient survey date.
Steel window refurbishment in Dundee and Angus: questions
Is refurbishment suitable for listed buildings?
Often it is the preferred approach, because it keeps original fabric. We can provide a condition report to support your discussions with the conservation officer.
When is replacement better than repair?
When sections are badly corroded, bent or missing, repair can cost more than heritage replacement. We tell you honestly which makes sense.
Are prices higher in Dundee and Angus?
Our guide prices are the same nationally. The fixed price for your job depends on its size and specification, plus any site factors such as access or parking, which we note at survey.
