Steel window refurbishment in Cornwall
From Falmouth to St Ives, we supply and fit steel window refurbishment across Cornwall, each one fabricated to the measurements taken at your survey.
Fitting steel window refurbishment in Cornwall
Cornwall's coastal properties and granite cottages need robust external detailing, while internal screens help small cottage rooms share light.
Safety glass is standard in every internal pane, and we check whether fire-rated glazing is needed before anything is ordered. Our team handles survey, drawings, fabrication and fitting, so you deal with one contact from start to finish.
We cover Truro, Falmouth, Newquay and St Ives, plus the villages and towns between them. Lead time is 2–4 weeks to start after inspection, and we confirm dates in writing when you sign off the drawings.
What we can include
- Seized opening lights freed and rehung
- New hinges, handles, stays and draught seals
- Secondary glazing option for listed buildings
- Inspection and condition report for each window
Steel window refurbishment is the repair of existing metal windows rather than replacing them: treating rust, repairing damaged sections, freeing seized opening lights, renewing hinges, handles and seals, reglazing and recoating. Read the full guide to steel window refurbishment.

Steel window refurbishment in Cornwall: questions
Can old steel windows be made draught-proof?
Draught seals and adjusted opening lights make a big difference. For more warmth, slim double-glazed units or secondary glazing can be added.
Is refurbishment suitable for listed buildings?
Often it is the preferred approach, because it keeps original fabric. We can provide a condition report to support your discussions with the conservation officer.
