Steel window refurbishment in Cheshire
Homeowners and builders in Cheshire use us for steel window refurbishment that are drawn to their exact opening, from compact screens in Chester to full-width runs in Wilmslow.
Fitting steel window refurbishment in Cheshire
Cheshire projects are often larger detached homes and period properties, where steel bifolds, French doors and statement pivot doors are common.
You get one fixed written price after survey, with the material, glass and finish named on the quote. Because each frame is drawn from your measurements, the steel window refurbishment fits the opening you have, not a stock size.
We cover Chester, Wilmslow, Knutsford and Macclesfield, plus the villages and towns between them. Lead time is 2–4 weeks to start after inspection, and we confirm dates in writing when you sign off the drawings.
What we can include
- Inspection and condition report for each window
- Rust removal, treatment and section repairs
- Reglazing, including slim units where sections allow
- Primer and topcoat in the original or new colour
Steel window refurbishment is the repair of existing metal windows rather than replacing them: treating rust, repairing damaged sections, freeing seized opening lights, renewing hinges, handles and seals, reglazing and recoating. Read the full guide to steel window refurbishment.
Send us a few details and photos of the opening, and we will arrange a free survey.
Steel window refurbishment in Cheshire: questions
How long does refurbishment last?
Properly treated and recoated steel windows can give many more years of service, especially if the paint is maintained.
Can old steel windows be made draught-proof?
Draught seals and adjusted opening lights make a big difference. For more warmth, slim double-glazed units or secondary glazing can be added.
Are prices higher in Cheshire?
Our guide prices are the same nationally. The fixed price for your job depends on its size and specification, plus any site factors such as access or parking, which we note at survey.
