Steel sliding doors in Oxfordshire
Looking for steel sliding doors in Oxfordshire? We survey, draw, fabricate and fit them for homes in Oxford, Banbury and across the rest of Oxfordshire.
Fitting steel sliding doors in Oxfordshire
Oxfordshire has a high share of period and listed buildings, so heritage steel windows and sympathetic internal screens come up often.
Because each frame is drawn from your measurements, the steel sliding door fits the opening you have, not a stock size. Our team handles survey, drawings, fabrication and fitting, so you deal with one contact from start to finish.
We cover Oxford, Banbury, Abingdon and Henley-on-Thames, plus the villages and towns between them. Lead time is 4–6 weeks from signed-off drawings, and we confirm dates in writing when you sign off the drawings.
What we can include
- Survey of the wall structure for track fixings
- Recessed flush pulls or bar handles
- Toughened, reeded or acoustic laminated glass
- Face-fixed top track, concealed track or pocket system
A steel sliding door is a glazed steel door that runs along a track instead of swinging open, either on a visible top-hung track or into a pocket in the wall. Read the full guide to steel sliding doors.

Steel sliding doors in Oxfordshire: questions
Can a steel door slide into the wall?
Yes, with a pocket system built into a stud wall. It is best planned before plastering, because the pocket frame is built into the wall.
How much does an internal steel sliding door cost?
A single steel sliding door on a face-fixed track usually costs £2,900 to £6,500 fitted, including VAT. Pocket systems and bi-parting pairs cost more.
