Fitting steel room dividers in Greater Manchester
Greater Manchester's mill conversions and Victorian suburbs such as Didsbury and Chorlton are a natural home for glazed steel screens and room dividers.
We coordinate with your builder, kitchen fitter or decorator so the opening is ready and nothing is measured twice. Lead times are confirmed in writing when you sign off the drawings, so you can plan the rest of your project around them.
We cover Manchester, Stockport, Altrincham and Bolton, plus the villages and towns between them. Lead time is 4–6 weeks from signed-off drawings, and we confirm dates in writing when you sign off the drawings.
What we can include
- Toughened or laminated safety glass, clear or reeded
- Transoms and posts set out to suit the room rather than a stock grid
- Full-height glazed steel partitions up to around 3m in a single tier
- Fixings into floor and ceiling structure where there is no wall
A steel room divider is a floor-to-ceiling glazed steel partition used to zone an open-plan space, such as separating a sleeping area in a loft or a study corner in a living room. Read the full guide to steel room dividers.

Steel room dividers in Greater Manchester: questions
Do I need a door in the divider?
Not always. Many clients leave an open walkway at one end. If you want privacy or warmth in one zone, a hinged or sliding door can be built into the run.
Can the divider be moved later?
Dividers are fixed to the floor and ceiling, so they are permanent fixtures. They can be taken down by a fitter, but they are not designed as movable partitions.
Do you cover Manchester and Stockport?
Yes. We survey and fit steel room dividers in Manchester, Stockport, Altrincham and across Greater Manchester. Book a free survey and we will confirm a date.
