Steel room dividers in Devon
Looking for steel room dividers in Devon? We survey, draw, fabricate and fit them for homes in Exeter, Plymouth and across the rest of Devon.
Fitting steel room dividers in Devon
Devon homes face plenty of weather, so external steel windows and doors are specified with galvanising and a durable powder coat.
Safety glass is standard in every internal pane, and we check whether fire-rated glazing is needed before anything is ordered. Because each frame is drawn from your measurements, the steel room divider fits the opening you have, not a stock size.
We cover Exeter, Plymouth, Torquay and Barnstaple, plus the villages and towns between them. Lead time is 4–6 weeks from signed-off drawings, and we confirm dates in writing when you sign off the drawings.
What we can include
- Transoms and posts set out to suit the room rather than a stock grid
- Optional hinged, sliding or pivot door within the divider
- Full-height glazed steel partitions up to around 3m in a single tier
- Toughened or laminated safety glass, clear or reeded
A steel room divider is a floor-to-ceiling glazed steel partition used to zone an open-plan space, such as separating a sleeping area in a loft or a study corner in a living room. Read the full guide to steel room dividers.

Steel room dividers in Devon: questions
How much does a steel room divider cost?
Most full-height steel room dividers fall between £4,500 and £11,000 fitted, including VAT. Wider dividers, extra doors and specialist glass add to the price.
Will a divider make my room feel smaller?
Because the glass panes are large and the bars are slim, a divider keeps the sense of space. Most people find it makes an open-plan room easier to use rather than smaller.
Are prices higher in Devon?
Our guide prices are the same nationally. The fixed price for your job depends on its size and specification, plus any site factors such as access or parking, which we note at survey.
