Staircase steel screens in South Yorkshire
From Doncaster to Barnsley, we supply and fit staircase steel screens across South Yorkshire, each one fabricated to the measurements taken at your survey.
Fitting staircase steel screens in South Yorkshire
South Yorkshire projects include Sheffield's Victorian stone houses and steel-city warehouse conversions, which suit an industrial steel aesthetic.
Safety glass is standard in every internal pane, and we check whether fire-rated glazing is needed before anything is ordered. Because each frame is drawn from your measurements, the staircase steel screen fits the opening you have, not a stock size.
We cover Sheffield, Doncaster, Rotherham and Barnsley, plus the villages and towns between them. Lead time is 5–7 weeks from signed-off drawings, and we confirm dates in writing when you sign off the drawings.
What we can include
- Fire-rated glass and frames where the stair is an escape route
- Black or any RAL powder coat
- Safety glass sized for guarding where the screen protects a drop
- Full-height or half-height screens with handrail details
A staircase steel screen is a glazed steel partition that replaces a solid wall or balustrade beside a staircase. Read the full guide to staircase steel screens.

Staircase steel screens in South Yorkshire: questions
Will a stair screen make my hallway lighter?
If there is a window or rooflight at the top of the stairs, yes. The screen lets that light travel down instead of stopping at the stair wall.
How much does a staircase steel screen cost?
Most non-fire-rated stair screens cost £3,500 to £8,500 fitted, including VAT. Raked shapes and full-height glazing add complexity, and fire-rated screens are priced individually.
Do you cover Sheffield and Doncaster?
Yes. We survey and fit staircase steel screens in Sheffield, Doncaster, Rotherham and across South Yorkshire. Book a free survey and we will confirm a date.
