Internal steel screens in North Yorkshire
Homeowners and builders in North Yorkshire use us for internal steel screens that are drawn to their exact opening, from compact screens in York to full-width runs in Harrogate.
Fitting internal steel screens in North Yorkshire
North Yorkshire includes York's historic centre and Harrogate's Victorian villas, where conservation rules and period character shape the design.
You get one fixed written price after survey, with the material, glass and finish named on the quote. Because each frame is drawn from your measurements, the internal steel screen fits the opening you have, not a stock size.
We cover York, Harrogate, Scarborough and Skipton, plus the villages and towns between them. Lead time is 4–6 weeks from signed-off drawings, and we confirm dates in writing when you sign off the drawings.
What we can include
- Lever handles, pull handles and locks in black, brass or stainless
- Reeded, frosted or acoustic laminated glass to any pane
- Toughened or laminated safety glass to BS EN 12150 / BS EN 14449
- Pane layouts drawn to suit ceiling height and room proportions
An internal steel screen is a glazed partition made from slim steel sections, usually with a grid of glass panes and an optional door. Read the full guide to internal steel screens.

Internal steel screens in North Yorkshire: questions
How long does fitting take?
Most single screens are fitted and glazed in one to two days once the frame arrives on site. Larger or multi-screen jobs take longer, and we confirm the programme before we start.
Do internal steel screens need building regulations approval?
A screen that simply replaces a non-structural partition usually does not, but the glass must be safety glass where it sits in a door or low down. If the screen is on a protected escape route, for example in a three-storey house, it may need fire-rated glazing and building control sign-off. We check this at survey.
Do you cover York and Harrogate?
Yes. We survey and fit internal steel screens in York, Harrogate, Scarborough and across North Yorkshire. Book a free survey and we will confirm a date.
